love series

nectar of love. · in love. · ily. · loved.

This series explores love as a living process—one that evolves, deepens, and transforms over time. Rather than presenting love as a single emotion, these works trace its different stages: attraction, discovery, choice, and endurance. Each painting captures a distinct emotional moment, forming an intimate narrative rooted in personal experience.

nectar of love. represents the very beginning—the sweetness of first connection. It speaks to the moment when affection starts to grow and certainty quietly emerges. Whether love develops gradually or appears instantly, this work captures the intoxicating feeling of early attachment: light, tender, and addictive, like a first taste that lingers.

in love. reflects the stage of emotional overflow. Created at the beginning of my first relationship, this painting translates excitement, butterflies, and childlike joy onto the canvas. Layered pink tones and floral forms express vulnerability and openness, capturing love before fear, responsibility, or restraint take hold.

ily. marks the transition from emotion to intention. This work explores love as a conscious decision—freely chosen rather than expected. Embedded with dried rose petals from my first date with my partner, the painting holds a personal memory within its physical structure. It speaks of vulnerability, patience, and the willingness to commit.

loved. reflects mature love shaped by time. Here, love is no longer defined by intensity but by presence, loyalty, and choice. The aged, textured surface symbolizes endurance, while silver and gold accents honor shared history. This work celebrates love that remains—even when it becomes quieter, more complex, and deeply rooted.

Together, these paintings form an emotional arc: from the sweetness of beginnings, through excitement and commitment, to lasting connection. The Love Series presents love not as perfection, but as evolution—fragile, resilient, and profoundly human.
